Hi all,
Well it has been one busy few weeks.
I am not sure if I have told you but I live on a property and have a large driveway around the house, (I know it sounds amazing but really it’s just stones) anyway I was out walking around as I do every morning with my dogs and decided that I need more stones on the driveway because when they where first placed they went straight down on clay which is what the whole garden was and I can tell you it was not fun trying to make a garden when I had to deal with braking down the clay first, sorry I got of track then so back to the stones. Off I go inside and find the local garden suppliers and order some stones, well not knowing how many stones to order and after talking it over with the garden man I decided on 10 meters, it didn’t sound very much until they arrived, wholly molly the pile is huge and it is sitting in the driveway, not the best place to have them. I have moved 33 small trailer loads and there is still at lease twice that to go, it is going to take some time.
If I’m not working on the stones I am working on new items for the shop and I am very happy with what I have been coming up with. I am not sure why but I have become very interested in tribal items. I have finished 1 tribal necklace on a stand and am working on some tribal wall art, and I am just loving how they are coming out. My macramé is still coming along strong also. I do find when I am working on them I can loose many hours so that gives me a good excuse to get stuck into Netflix which I love. I have to admit I am a TV junkie.
Today I set out to get some shop supplies and I thought I would only be gone for a few hours, well so much for a few hours it was most of the day. I only went to pick up a few items and one was air dry moulding clay which you would think was going to be an easy task, well no, after several shops not having any in stock I started to become obsessed with trying to find it which certainly didn’t help my OCD. Anyway I did find some and I did get the other few items I was after and got home at 4.30. I unpacked all the stuff and then realized that I really didn’t need that much moulding clay and what was I thinking when I picked it up and paid for it. (I hope it doesn’t have an expiry date. lol)
There is only one thing to do after a day like that and that was Netflix and pizza for the rest of the night.
It’s the next day now and my sons helped me move all the stones and I am delighted with there help and how it looks. It’s just the most agonizing job and I am very grateful I only have to do that every 20 years.
For the rest of the week I have been over with my mum, she is 85 and doing well but she just needs a little help around the house so I love going to spend time with her, we go out for coffee and cakes and do a little shopping and then home for a rest. Its funny now when I go to mum’s house it is so quite, I remember when I was young the house would be buzzing with kids and there friends running around playing cricket in the backyard, swimming in the little stand up pool in the back corner of the yard so it didn’t kill to much of dad’s grass though the summer time and of course dad would be stuffing around in the garden doing I don’t no what but he loved it and mum, well she would be in the kitchen baking raspberry slice or biscuits. Now the house is just still and quite, if only the houses we all lived in could talk, can you imagine what they would say.
Anyway,
That’s it for now so,
Until we meet again.
Jen (Jenzo) (Mum) (Mumzo) (Mama)
